First Assist Technician Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a First Assist in the main operating room at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. This travel position runs for 91 days, starting June 15, 2026, with a 4x10 day shift schedule (6:45 AM to 5:15 PM). Your weekly pay is $2,575.

In this role, you will provide direct surgical assistance with a 1:1 patient ratio across a wide range of surgical specialties. You will support surgeons during orthopedic trauma, orthopedic, spine, neurology, gynecology, general, robotic, vascular, pediatric, ENT, plastic, podiatry, OMF, dental, and eye trauma procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist surgeons during multiple surgical procedures
• Operate and support advanced surgical equipment, including 5 Da Vinci Robots, Mako and Velys Robots
• Document patient care using the Cerner electronic documentation system
• Maintain flexibility for on-call responsibilities as needed
• Collaborate with unit secretaries and surgical technicians

The facility provides scrubs on the unit. You will have support from unit secretaries and surgical tech staff to ensure smooth operations in the OR environment.

Required certifications: CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA. Your credential as an Allied Health Professional must align with these certification requirements.
