MRI Technologist Job in Janesville, WI

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville is seeking an MRI Technologist to join its imaging department. This is a day shift role with a rotating schedule of 2x12-hour and 2x8-hour shifts, including Saturday rotation and call availability every 4–6 weeks.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift times: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Weekly pay: $1,752
• Assignment duration: 84 weeks
• Start date: May 21, 2026
• Flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and call as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program with education verification
• Current ARRT Radiography registration
• Current ARRT MRI registration
• BLS certification
• Prior experience as an MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instruction
• Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risk
• Select and operate MRI systems, surface coils, and associated equipment
• Position patients and equipment to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest
• Perform venipuncture and establish and maintain venous access
• Prepare and administer contrast media
• Evaluate images and data for technical quality
• Use radiology information systems and PACS
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team
