Respiratory Therapist Job in Lafayette, IN

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel position at Franciscan Health Lafayette. This is a 91-day assignment starting July 27, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly pay: $1,971

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across multiple units including ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU. You will manage a range of equipment and support clinical teams with patient care at varying acuity levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage ventilators (PB models, Drager V500, Hamilton C-transport), nebulizers, BiPAP, HHFNC, Oscillator, Jet ventilator, Nitric Oxide delivery systems, and Bubble CPAP
• Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Manage BiPAPs, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
• Provide Level 3 NICU respiratory support
• Chart using EPIC EMR system
• Work independently with higher acuity patients and heavier workloads as needed

Staffing

Night shift operates with minimum staffing of 4–4.5 respiratory therapists. Patient ratios are managed using the RVU system.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP
• Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, ICU, and Level 3 NICU skills required

Additional Details

Pewter gray scrubs are required. You must be comfortable working independently and supporting clinical teams across multiple patient care settings during night hours.
