ED Registered Nurse Job in Midland, TX

You will join Midland Memorial Hospital's combined adult and pediatric emergency department for an 8-week contract assignment. This is an urgent staffing need for a 56-day deployment beginning July 20, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—in a high-volume setting with 42 beds and approximately 200 patients daily. You will perform triage, IV placement and maintenance, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, procedural sedation monitoring, blood product administration, IV vasopressor management, splint application, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction. You will also manage clinical conditions including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, CVA, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, head injury, burns, seizures, spinal cord injury, suicidal patients, traumatic amputation, and behavioral and psychiatric conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience in an equivalent-sized facility
• Level II or III trauma experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, NRP (willingness to obtain if not currently held)
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Recent ER travel experience within the past 6–8 months preferred

Schedule and Compensation

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,229.12 weekly. Plan to work some holidays during your assignment.
