Med Surg RN Job in Mauston, Wisconsin

Mile Bluff Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to join the Medical/Surgical unit on a day shift schedule. You will provide direct patient care, implement nursing plans, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and safety.

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with every 4th weekend off
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,365.20

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and document findings using the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, with appropriate proficiency
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Respond to patient needs and clinical changes while maintaining safe patient environments
• Follow physician orders and communicate updates through established clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families about care, treatment plans, and discharge requirements
• Maintain Universal Precautions, asepsis, and infection control standards
• Safely manage multiple patients while upholding unit standards and policies

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
• Minimum two-year nursing degree (BSN preferred)
• BLS certification (required at hire or within 1 month)
• ACLS certification (required at hire or within 6 months)
• PALS certification (encouraged)
• Intermediate computer proficiency
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and sustained computer screen viewing
