RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week (must be indicated on submission form)
• Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed
• No call requirements
• 1 year of cardiac stepdown experience required (inpatient only)
• Current RN license meeting Missouri eligibility criteria or currently licensed in Missouri
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Float requirements as needed to similar or lower acuity units
• Patient ratios: 1:3 to 1:4 on 32-bed unit
• Work with equipment including chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Care for post-op CABG/valve patients, thoracotomies, respiratory failure, and chest pain patients
• Must be team player and promote positive culture
• Dress code requires all black scrubs with facility logo on top
• No hoodies, jackets without logo, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, earbuds, or fake nails allowed
• Night shift orients on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Flu vaccination or approved exemptions required November 1 - April 1
