Job Details:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to department protocols
• Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation
• Assist radiologists with specialized procedures and exams including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
• Accurately document exams and patient information
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care
• Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in a department with an average daily census of 350 with approximately 40 visits per day
• Block scheduling type with patient ratio of 5 patients per day
• When fully staffed with 4 technologists, each tech covers 1 weekend shift
• Operate Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers for various patient populations
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist throughout the workday
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography Program required
• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT Registry, BLS
