Opportunity:

Sonographer - Vascular Sonographer

Job Details:

• 1st shift position working 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 1 weekend rotation every 5 weeks required
• 1 winter holiday shift required
• On-call rotation responsibilities included
• Perform quality echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasonography examinations using various imaging equipment
• Provide direct patient care to patients of all ages, including adolescents through geriatric patients
• Evaluate quality of vascular images and determine if additional imaging is required
• Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification
• Communicate procedure diagnostic information to physicians
• Verify patient name and birth date and verify orders in the chart
• Monitor and support patients throughout exams and document all necessary patient information
• Must be competent in starting IVs with a basic understanding of IV maintenance
• Must be competent in the administration of ultrasound image enhancing agents
• Follow department protocols for all exams and adhere to regulatory requirements and National Safety Goals
• Assist in mentoring new team members or students
• Maintain licensure in a timely manner and attend all mandatory education annually
