About this role

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a backfill travel position in their cardiac catheterization laboratory. This is a day shift role working 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week.

About the Role

You will work in a two-lab cardiac catheterization environment where each lab operates with 1–2 RNs and 1–2 technologists, maintaining a total of 3 staff per case during day shift. You will manage a 1:1 patient ratio and perform a range of cardiac interventional procedures including left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), shockwave therapy, permanent pacemaker insertion, Impella support, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management. You will work with GE equipment and the Meditech electronic medical record system.

Required Qualifications

  • Allied Health Professional degree as a Cath Lab Technologist
  • Documented cardiac catheterization laboratory experience
  • Hands-on experience with Impella and IABP devices
  • Ventilator operation experience
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

  • Vascular and peripheral intervention experience
  • Electrophysiology background

Schedule and Expectations

You will work every other weekend and holiday on a rotation basis with hospital employees. Black scrubs are required per radiology dress code. Day shift staff use the parking garage top deck or designated back area employee parking; night shift staff (on-call only) may park in any available spot.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day backfill assignment beginning April 21, 2026. You will receive $2,336 per week for your 5×8 day shift commitment. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established cardiac program and gain experience in a busy, collaborative cath lab environment.
