Job Details:

• Evening shift from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours - must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• RTO must be made up on the back end and will not be approved in the first week of assignment
• Holiday RTO limited to 1 request per assignment
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility required - must be indicated on resume
• Trauma/pediatrics experience and high acuity experience preferred
• Experience with 200+ patients per day preferred
• Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for Missouri required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, and NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• EMR system: EPIC
• Patient ratio of 4:1 routinely, subject to change based on surge and other circumstances
• 68-bed Emergency Department unit
• Scrub color: Black
• Jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability
• Must demonstrate strong human relations and communication skills
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs, pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., and pinching up to 15 lbs.
