Job Details:

• Work night shifts in Progressive Care Unit/Step Down unit
• Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on medical/surgical unit
• Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, pre and post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis patients
• Operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and patients requiring noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines, multiple IVs and short term ventilation support
• Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge including discharge planning
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines and act as clinical leader
• Assist with precepting staff and give directions to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping and Dietary Staff
• Manage common IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
• Perform basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Current Montana RN License required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• EPNC, TNCC certification preferred
• Pediatric experience and post heart catheterization experience preferred
• May complement Medical Surgical Nursing Unit when staffing actions are required
