RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• 18-bed Trauma ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 ICU and 1:4 PCU
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher score
• 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Self-scheduling managed by unit manager based on needs
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Floating required to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU
• Manager interview required for all candidates
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• First-time travelers not accepted
• No license or background hits accepted
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Care for adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest
• Experience with CVPs, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, EV-1000, and ICP monitoring
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger monitoring system
• Work with ventilators ranging from nasal cannula to full mechanical ventilation
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required
