Experienced Med/Surg RN with ER

Opportunity:

RN - ER; Additional Notes from VMS= Registered Nurse: MED/Surg ER

Job Details:

• Full-time, part-time, or PRN positions available
• Day or night shift options
• Provide nursing care in Emergency Room, Med/Surg, LDR, and Nursery departments
• Perform total patient care including observing and recording signs and symptoms
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous medications using barcode scanning in electronic health system
• Assist physicians and provide care during examinations and treatments
• Care for obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages
• Provide newborn care and observation
• Maintain accurate patient records and transcribe physician orders
• Participate in quality assurance programs and educational workshops
• Must be graduate of accredited school of nursing with current valid state nursing license
• Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
• Must maintain professional uniform standards and high personal hygiene
• Work in indoor, smoke-free patient care environment with frequent contact with bio-hazardous materials
