ICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will provide direct patient care in an intensive care setting at OU Health, working the night shift. This 89-day travel assignment begins July 27, 2026, and requires you to manage complex patients in an ICU environment with a focus on neurology cases.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and deliver competent care across a variety of health conditions, from straightforward to complex
• Monitor and obtain physiological data, observing patient responses and intervening when necessary
• Document all patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note changes in physician orders on assigned patients and communicate updates to the care team
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure accuracy and safety
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and answer questions
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Requirements: You must hold an active RN license, have Level 1 experience, and possess neurology experience. NIHSS certification is a plus but not required.
