Respiratory Therapist Job in Odessa, TX

You will provide respiratory therapy services across multiple patient populations at Medical Center Hospital, a Trauma Level II facility. Your responsibilities include managing adult med/surg, adult critical care, and general pediatric patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions and trauma cases.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care including mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene
• Work with all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Operate specialized equipment including jet and oscillatory ventilation for NICU, PB 980 ventilators, V-60 for non-invasive ventilation, and nitric oxide delivery systems
• Perform Istat point-of-care blood gas analysis
• Collaborate with respiratory services and rapid response teams
• Handle trauma cases at Level II and higher

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours, nights
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 23, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,918.08
• Block scheduling available for 3–4 shifts in a row (not guaranteed)
• Weekend coverage required: 9 weekend shifts per contract
• One pre-approved time-off period allowed
• 24 hours of orientation provided

Required Qualifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification (CRT not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Trauma Level II experience required
