Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts on a 26-bed acute care unit
• 36 or 48 hours per week schedule
• 13-week assignment duration
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Patient ratio of 1:4, occasionally 1:5 with a free-float charge RN
• Care for diverse patient population primarily comprised of general surgery and trauma patients
• 90% post-surgical patients, 10% medical diagnosis patients
• All rooms capable of cardiac monitoring, capnography, and continuous pulse oximetry
• Must adhere to float policy to other acute care units
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• BSN preferred
• Must have Virginia license in hand by Wednesday before start date
• 48-hour orientation with up to 16 hours of non-billable modules
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off approved per contract
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
