Med Surg RN Job in Burlington, NC

Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Float required as needed to other units or campuses
• Must work Charge RN shifts as needed
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam (Pass/Fail with 2 attempts allowed)
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must complete compliance requirements by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Must be prepared to work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's Traction, neck and back braces
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic conditions and medical surgical patients
• Handle patients with total joint replacements, fracture repairs, kyphoplasties, neck and back surgeries
• Work with telemetry monitoring and various medical devices
