Physical Therapist Job in Bronx, NY

St. Barnabas Hospital St. Barnabas Community Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 10-week travel assignment in Bronx, NY. You will work day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Position Overview

In this role, you will evaluate patients' physical therapy needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient populations. You will perform initial assessments, establish achievable treatment goals in collaboration with patients and families, and implement evidence-based treatment protocols aligned with current professional and health-system standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and design optimal treatment plans for assigned patients
• Select and recommend appropriate technical aids and assistive devices
• Provide education to patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process
• Complete all required clinical documentation for patient care and reimbursement purposes
• Maintain productivity standards as indicated by patient contact metrics and reporting
• Participate in clinical education and professional development activities as needed
• Demonstrate continued proficiency in skills specific to your assigned patient populations

Requirements

• Current New York State Physical Therapy license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care settings

Assignment Details
