Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Care for adult patients in a cardiovascular intensive care unit setting
• Care for post-sternotomy patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, and aortic dissection
• Care for patients status post carotid endarterectomy, lobectomy, mediastinoscopy, and other cardiothoracic procedures
• Care for vascular patients with extensive co-morbidities and complications
• Manage and operate devices including CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, and PA catheters
• Perform arterial line management, central line care, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Manage ventilated patients and perform ventilator management
• Administer blood products and continuous IV sedation
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Perform epicardial pacing wire care and management
• Support procedures including TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and post cardiac surgery care
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Green scrubs required
• May be required to float to other units and campuses based on census needs
