ED Registered Nurse Job in Florissant, MO

You'll work 12-hour night shifts in a 25-room emergency department at Northwest HealthCare, where you'll care for both adult and pediatric patients. The facility averages a daily census of 120–160 patients, providing you with substantial clinical exposure across a range of acute presentations.

Work Schedule & Staffing

• 3x12 night shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating within scope required
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract

Patient Care & Clinical Expectations

• Patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts and days
• Handle chief complaints including abdominal pain, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and musculoskeletal injuries
• Manage ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Perform triage using EPIC charting system
• Operate special equipment including Glucostabilizer and Level 1 infuser

Requirements & Credentials

• 1 year of nursing experience minimum
• Active RN licensure
• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS
• Flu vaccine required (medical and religious exemptions available)
• Navy scrubs required

Support & Training

• 24 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted

This is a 91-day assignment beginning June 1, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,111.96.
