Cath Lab Technologist Job in Albany, NY

As a Cath Lab Technologist at Albany Medical Center, you will support invasive and noninvasive cardiology procedures in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory. Working day shifts (4x10 hours), you will assist the Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic examinations and peripheral vascular studies.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform diagnostic examinations under the direction of the Interventional Cardiologist
• Assist with invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures
• Collect and record subjective data to establish correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis for each patient
• Respond to call commitment: 1 week night shift and 1 weekend per month

Required qualifications:

• Minimum Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or accredited Allied Health Program
• Certification as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• At least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
