NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population: Neonates
• Level 3 NICU setting caring for neonatal and pre-term neonates
• Patient ratios: 1:3 for days and nights
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Required skills include: arterial line management, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), isolation precautions/PPE, neonatal abstinence syndrome, neonates 34 weeks, neonates 29-34 weeks, UVC (umbilical vein catheter), and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• IV therapy management including line care
• Ventilator management required
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week
• Orientation hours: 12
• GA or Compact nursing license required
