Registered Nurse - ER @ Sutter Health Coast Hospital

Job Details:

• Self-scheduling with every other weekend requirement
• 4:1 patient ratio maintained for days, nights, and weekends
• 3 weekend shifts per week required
• 24-hour orientation period
• 5 years of emergency room experience required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (all must be AHA certified)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 12-bed emergency department with 50-70 daily census
• Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation, triage, isolation precautions, and IV vasopressor administration
• Access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Valid California nursing license required at time of submission
• 7-year work history verification required
• Modules completed during orientation through e-learning
