RN (Registered Nurse)

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
• Holiday requirement unless specified off in signed contract
• Call requirement is rare
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Must have 2-3 years of emergency room experience
• Must be an independent thinker and self-motivated
• Can apply for 90-day Oregon Emergency License
• Unit manager will conduct phone interview with candidates
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Unit-specific orientation of 2-3 12-hour days
• Work with MEDITECH electronic medical records system
• Handle all aspects of emergency room care including triage, patient care, and monitoring
• Manage emergency room holds and perform all ER nursing duties
• Work with psych/seclusion patients in standard ER assignments
• Float assignments only if desired and typically not required for ER
• Handle approximately 37 patients per day in 11-bed emergency department
• Work with in-house security, respiratory therapy, and imaging departments
