Emergency Department RN Job in Altoona, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at UPMC Altoona, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting. This is a 90-day travel position beginning June 29, 2026.

Your Role

As an ED RN, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions. You will be responsible for:

• Conducting initial patient assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Administering medications and treatments per physician orders
• Managing patient flow and triage priorities
• Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records
• Following established emergency protocols and procedures
• Communicating effectively with the emergency team, including physicians, technicians, and support staff

Schedule & Compensation

You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,300.40 weekly pay. This arrangement allows for flexibility while maintaining consistent income throughout your 90-day assignment.

Requirements

You must hold a current Registered Nurse license and maintain all required certifications as mandated by your state and facility. Experience in emergency nursing is preferred.
