Histology Technician Job in Atlanta, GA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Histotechnologist for an 89-day travel assignment at Northside Hospital Atlanta. This is your opportunity to work in a dynamic pathology environment while earning $1,547.89 weekly.

Position Details:

• Shift: 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Friday (8 hours)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, starting August 24, 2026
• Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Your Responsibilities:

• Receive and accession specimens into the Cerner system
• Collect tissue blocks from pathology staff and process specimens
• Perform embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
• Work across Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) departments
• Maintain quality standards and adherence to laboratory protocols

Requirements:

• Current ASCP certification (HT or HLT)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in histology specialty
• Completion of formal histology technologist training program or Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Willingness to work 2 major holidays out of 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day
• Willingness to work 1 minor holiday: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
