Job Details:

• Prepare, sterilize, install, and clean laboratory and healthcare equipment
• Assemble all equipment required for surgery, exams, and other medical procedures
• Organize and assemble routine and specialty surgical instrument trays and other sterilized supplies
• Clean instruments and other medical devices to prepare them for sterilization
• Operate and maintain various sterilizers including steam, ETO, low-temperature gas plasma, peracetic acid, ozone, and dry heat sterilizers
• Keep detailed records of sterilization loads completed, items processed, and maintenance procedures performed
• Record sterilizer test results and monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions
• Disinfect patient care equipment such as infusion machines, DVT machines, and suction pumps
• Examine equipment to detect leaks, worn parts, or other signs of disrepair
• Check sterile supplies to ensure proper storage and packaging integrity
• Maintain records of inventory and equipment usage
• On-call requirements of approximately 4-8 hours per month
• Weekend requirements every 3rd weekend
• Must have 3+ years of SPT experience
• Travel experience required
• CBSPD or HSPA certification required
• HSPA (IAHCSMM) certification required
• Strict 3 strike attendance policy - absence or being more than 20 minutes late for scheduled shifts 3 times results in immediate termination
• Must make up any call-ins within contract timeframe
