ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays scheduled per contract
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirements
• Patient ratio is typically 4:1
• Manage emergency department patients including ER holds intermixed within the ER
• Perform triage in one of two dedicated triage rooms
• Read telemetry monitor strips as part of patient monitoring responsibilities
• Perform blood draws alongside ED technicians
• Conduct EKGs alongside ED technicians
• Work within a Level III Trauma Center with 21 ED beds, 1 trauma bay, and a 4-bed fast track area
• Utilize MEDITECH electronic medical records system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC
• PALS or ENPC recommended but not required
• BSN not required
• Scrub color: Any color other than purple
• Orientation provided before first shift
