Operating Room RN Job in Albany, NY

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our surgical services team. This is a 91-day travel nursing assignment beginning July 12, 2026, working 4x10 hour day shifts.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care and surgical support across multiple high-acuity specialties. Your responsibilities include:

• Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical procedures across cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular cases
• Monitor patient status during surgical procedures and respond to clinical changes
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to support optimal patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in the Epic electronic health record system
• Support surgical teams managing complex, high-acuity procedures

Qualifications

You must hold a current RN license and possess strong, demonstrated experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures. Proficiency with Epic is required. You will need the ability to adapt quickly across diverse surgical specialties and manage the fast-paced demands of the operating room environment.

Schedule and Compensation

You will work four 10-hour day shifts per week. Weekly pay is $2,861.60. A possible on-call requirement may apply.
