CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Colorado Springs, CO

Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the cardiovascular operating room team. You will work 4 days per week on 10-hour day shifts, beginning at 6:30 AM and ending at 5:00 PM.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in a 16-suite CVOR handling approximately 30 cases per day
• Support a full range of surgical procedures including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, general, neuro, spine, robotics, and orthopedic cases
• Float to the General OR as needed, with potential floating to other Zone 3 locations in cases of extreme need
• Participate in both CVOR and General OR orientation

Schedule and Expectations

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available
• Call requirements: one weekday per month and one weekend per month (Friday through Sunday) with a 30-minute response time
• Call room available at facility
• The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks

Requirements and Details

• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA
• Colorado DORA license
• Open heart and endovascular experience required
• Valid driver's license and residence within 60 miles of facility
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Epic charting system
