Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a Telemetry position in the Observation Unit at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an 89-day assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with 12-hour shifts and a weekly pay of $2,368.08.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced observation unit setting, managing 20–27 patient turnovers per day. Your responsibilities include caring for adult patients requiring additional observation to determine admission necessity, managing cases ranging from short stays to full admissions, and supporting both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. Average patient length of stay is 27 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to diverse adult patient populations
• Work rotating or assigned shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Assume charge nurse duties as assigned
• Maintain on-call and call-back availability as needed
• Collaborate with 24/7 provider coverage support
• Support holiday and weekend coverage

Requirements

• Current New York RN license
• Minimum two years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification preferred
