Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Indianapolis, IN

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at IU Health Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 91-day contract starting May 18, 2026, working 3x12 hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients in NICU and L&D settings
• Manage specialized equipment including CPAP, mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and various aerosol delivery systems
• Perform arterial blood gas interpretation, tracheostomy care, and ventilator weaning procedures
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics Acute Care as needed; floating to affiliate hospitals nearby is required
• Home unit assignment of NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics will be determined by facility based on need

Required Qualifications

• Current RRT credential from NBRC
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• NRP certification (required for L&D placement)
• Indiana State Respiratory Therapist License
• Minimum 2 years experience in NICU and PICU
• Labor & Delivery experience as primary placement will be in L&D
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years
• Respiratory education accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• PALS certification preferred

Compensation and Details

• Weekly pay: $2,358.72
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
