ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Every other weekend requirement
• Expect to work some holidays on a rotating schedule between teams
• 8 hours of orientation required
• 1 year of experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Charting system experience required; Meditech system used
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 5-bed ICU unit with an average daily census of 3 patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, and interpretation services
• Floating may be required in rotation with staff and in accordance with facility floating policies
• Candidates must complete a medication and EKG exam within 72 hours of contract signing with a passing score of 85% required
