RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, four days per week
• Call required after 1 week of orientation, 12-15 days of call per 6-week schedule including 2 weekends
• Weekday call hours are 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM; weekend call hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (24-hour call)
• 2 weekends of 24-hour call required per 6-week schedule
• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric congenital heart patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Review patient information, allergies, medications, and consent forms prior to procedures
• Ensure cath procedure rooms are fully stocked and prepared with all necessary medications and emergency equipment
• Coordinate with physicians, APPs, anesthesia, and all team members
• Assist physicians during diagnostic, interventional, biopsy, and electrophysiology procedures
• Perform both circulating and scrubbing roles while maintaining sterile technique
• Operate point-of-care testing equipment and administer contrast
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations
• Preferred knowledge of congenital heart disease, advanced assessment skills, and ability to care for critically ill neonates through adolescents
• Patient population ranges from newborn to elder adult; pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• Pennsylvania State Board approved RN license required
• Hospital-issued blue scrubs required
• Offsite hospital parking available for $23 per pay period with shuttle service provided
