Respiratory Therapist Job in Petersburg, WV

WVU Grant Memorial Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Petersburg, WV. This is a 91-day assignment starting October 19, 2026, offering $2,263 weekly pay.

Schedule & Staffing

• 3x12-hour shifts per week: day shift 5:45 AM–6:15 PM or night shift equivalent
• Monday and Tuesday day shifts; alternating Wednesday and Friday night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Day shift: 2 RTs for inpatient, 1 RT for outpatient; night shift: 1 RT for inpatient
• Solo night shifts and independent work required during low-census periods
• Extra shifts available for vacation coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

• Handle 50–75+ treatments per day depending on census
• Inpatient: ventilator management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, nebulizers, MDIs, flutter, and airway clearance
• Outpatient: nocturnal pulse oximetry and blood gas setup
• Emergency department and L&D support as needed
• Assist with intubation
• Treat primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric and neonatal patients in ED and L&D

Equipment & Systems

• Hamilton Medical C1 & C3 ventilators, Masimo SoftFlow high-flow systems, Masimo pulse oximeters, GEM5000 ABG analyzer, ResMed bedside CPAP/BiPAP
• MEDITECH charting system
• No specific scrub color requirement

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years specialty experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Ventilatory skills required; pediatric experience preferred but not required
• CRT acceptable; RRT preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PCOT, RRT verification
