Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour day shifts with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed
• 6-month contract positions will be considered
• On-call requirements: 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2-4 of these will be weekend call)
• Work in Interventional Radiology department
• Select exposure factors, position patients, and produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist radiologist during procedures
• Operate all department equipment and report malfunctions to management
• Complete assigned procedures in timely manner and assist with room turnover
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services to all age groups
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted
• Required: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), 2 years experience, NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start), ARRT
• Preferred: VIR Certified
• Must demonstrate competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups
