CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Primary focus on CT scanning with additional X-ray responsibilities as needed
• Perform wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• Complete primary diagnostic radiology and CT scan tasks including IV insertion and injections
• Work independently with initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis
• May receive independent responsibilities from Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director
• Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications
• Practice infection control in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Complete annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Maintain department competencies as required
• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required
• Must be willing to consider other duties during low census periods within scope of practice
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• On-call responsibilities to be determined
• 2 years current CT/X-ray experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred (at least 6 months)
• Current agency experience required (6 months to 1 year or more)
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and (R), BLS (AHA)
• Massachusetts Radiology License required
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
