Registered Nurse - NICU @ Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Float to pediatrics/PICU/nursery when needed
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients per nurse
• Work in Level III NICU caring for surgical patients 23 weeks gestation and up
• Care for neonates requiring cooling therapy and all respiratory modes
• Perform specialized procedures including PICC line insertions, bronchoscopy assistance, LISA procedures, VCUG, MRI support, swallow studies, and line insertions
• Manage specialized equipment including jet ventilators, high frequency ventilators, standard ventilators, high flow oxygen, CPAP, and ostomy care
• Provide care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (AHA certified)
• California nursing license required at time of submission
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 60 hours of orientation provided
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from facility or accept local rate
