PCU RN Job in Zanesville, OH

Genesis Healthcare System is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 15, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 36 hours per week, nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Typically every 3rd weekend and one holiday per assignment, subject to change based on census and staffing needs
• No on-call requirement, though rare call days may be requested during fluctuating census or staffing situations

Role Requirements

• Minimum 3 years cardiac step-down experience required
• Hands-on experience with heart catheterization recovery, cardiac drips, and post-operative open-heart patients
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac and med-surg step-down patient populations
• Open-heart procedure experience and Epic EMR proficiency required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities and Flexibility

You will provide direct patient care on a dedicated PCU step-down unit. While this unit does not typically admit ventilator patients, you must be comfortable managing ventilated patients in rare circumstances if needed. You may be called to float to other units during low-volume periods or staffing emergencies.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,102.40 for this full-time assignment.
