Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Worchester, MA

Tide Health Group - Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a long-term care position. This is a full-time temporary role working 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts during day hours. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning July 27, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative and skilled treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device instruction
• Assess patient progress and communicate with your supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Report on treatment effectiveness and outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders
• Collaborate with supervisor and interdisciplinary health team members on patient progress, barriers, and care planning
• Contribute to discharge summaries and regulatory documentation as required
• Document all treatment information accurately in the electronic health record system and maintain patient records per company policy
• Record treatment minutes for services provided in compliance with all regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist
• Adhere to APTA standards, state practice acts, professional code of conduct, and ethical guidelines

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts PTA license at time of submission
• Minimum 1+ years of PTA experience
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Skills checklist completion within 1 year of hire
• 0–1 reference required at time of submission
