Cath Lab Technologist Job in Waterbury, CT

Join Waterbury Hospital as a Cath Lab Technologist on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 4x10-hour day shifts with block scheduling, including call requirements of 2 nights weekly (unless on weekends) and every third weekend coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technologists and first-time travelers with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

About the Role:

You'll support a 2-room, fully functional Cath Lab handling approximately 8 patient visits daily. Your responsibilities include accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG lead placement, and assistance with a wide range of procedures including diagnostic cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion and programming, TAVR, Watchman procedures, ASD closures, cardioversion, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, conduction studies, and vascular closure systems. You'll work with both adult and geriatric patients and interpret dysrhythmias as needed.

Requirements:

• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience
• Cerner charting system experience (preferred)
• Trauma Level II experience (preferred)

Support & Details:

You'll receive 24 hours of orientation to ensure a smooth transition. Interdisciplinary support is available through respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Compensation & Timeline:

You'll earn $2,955 weekly. The assignment begins September 7, 2026, and runs for 91 days.
