Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Peds Inpatient Adult

Job Details:

• Provide patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care
• Care for patients of all ages from birth to elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients
• Conduct initial assessments and re-assessments every 24 hours
• Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient/family education
• Manage behavioral health patients and apply therapeutic communication techniques
• Utilize office and medical equipment appropriate for the position, including computers, telephones, fax machines, and copy machines
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
• Must be flexible with work schedule and possess the ability for independent actions within prescribed limits
• Pediatrics and adult experience strongly preferred
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing required
• Current BLS certification required
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training required
• Must maintain competencies for the position
