Trauma ICU RN Job in Plano, TX

You'll work as an RN in a 30-bed Trauma ICU located on the 3rd floor of C Tower at Medical City Plano. This role focuses on critical care nursing in a trauma and burn ICU setting, where you'll care for patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care with a 2:1 ICU patient ratio, or 4:1 when floating to PCU units
• Perform wound care, manage codes, maintain EVDs, and coordinate massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
• Operate critical care equipment and use the Meditech electronic medical record system
• Work in a team-based environment that values communication, critical thinking, and peer support

Schedule and requirements:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
• Two weekends required per pay period
• Possible float assignments to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU units
• Current RN license required
• Trauma, burn, and surgical ICU experience required
• BSN and CCRN certification preferred
