PCU Registered Nurse Job in Kansas City, MO

BJC West - Saint Lukes Hospital Plaza is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, on a 3x12 night shift schedule.

Role Overview

You will care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses. Patient ratios are 1:5, with occasional flexibility to 1:6. You may float between departments, units, and facilities as needed. Charge nurse assignments and holiday shifts are part of the role.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Kansas, Missouri, or compact state
• 2 years of nursing experience with mandatory cardiac experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC charting system experience

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Post-cardiac procedure care

Schedule & Compensation

Work three 12-hour night shifts per week. You will be assigned 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday combinations). Maximum 7 days of requested time off is allowed per contract. You are guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period.

Weekly pay is $2,212.53. Twelve hours of orientation are provided.
