Surgical Tech - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Work day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment with no weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call responsibilities or floating requirements
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 1+ years of experience required with endoscopy experience and ability to reprocess scopes
• BLS certification required
• Set up procedure rooms for each case and assist physicians during procedures
• Retrieve polyps and specimens during procedures
• Help clean patients before they leave the procedure room
• Break down rooms at end of day and restock for next day
• Reprocess scopes in high-level disinfection reprocessing room
• Work with endoscopes, colonoscopes, bronchoscopes, and various endoscopy equipment
• Assist with biopsies, balloon dilators, EGD procedures, ERCP, and stenting procedures
• Handle instrument processing, cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection
• Label specimens and maintain infection control protocols
• Work in 3-room unit with 9 beds serving adult and geriatric patients
• Use EPIC charting system
• Wear royal blue scrubs
• First-time travelers welcome
• Pass/Fail exam required with only 3 attempts allowed
