Med Surg RN Job in Chapel Hill, NC

You will provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, delivering patient-centered care that meets professional standards. This role is based at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week.

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Assess patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn among patients, families, and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care
• Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care
• Assess and anticipate discharge planning needs for individual patients and families
• Participate in professional development activities and unit performance improvement initiatives

Requirements: You must hold a current North Carolina Registered Nurse license, one year of nursing experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification through the AHA or ARC. A Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school is required; BSN or MSN is preferred. English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is essential.

Position Details: This is a 96-week assignment beginning May 11, 2026. You will earn $1,993.68 per week.
