Med Surg RN Job in Ogden, UT

Join Ogden Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical unit for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a full-time position working three 12-hour day shifts per week, with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 26-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Administer medications and manage controlled substances with proficiency
• Perform advanced nursing skills including NG/NJ tube placement, chest tube care, and heparin drip management
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures completed in the cath lab
• Document all patient information using the Meditech system
• Collaborate with unit technicians who are available to support nursing staff
• Utilize equipment including Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital sign machines

Schedule and Staffing

You will work day shift hours (5:00 AM to 5:00 PM) three days per week. The schedule requires four weekend shifts per month. You may be asked to float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license (BSN preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Some Medical Surgical experience preferred
• Knowledge of normal vital signs and lab value limits
• Professional dress code: Navy blue scrub tops and bottoms

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,757 for this 91-day assignment.
