Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for our Cardiac Cath Lab. This is a rotating shift position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with a skilled interventional team in a community hospital setting.

Role Overview

You will perform nursing duties in our cardiac catheterization lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. Your responsibilities include patient care during angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertion, and IABP procedures. You will also assist with interventional radiology and vascular cases as needed.

Shift and Schedule

• Rotating day shifts with varied times: 8 or 10-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• On-call requirement: 1–2 days per week, approximately every 2–3 weekends, including holidays
• 4-person call team

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and maintain patient safety throughout procedures
• Demonstrate working knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
• Understand CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine procedures as they apply to your role
• Operate Siemens equipment and maintain basic understanding of radiology equipment and image processing
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Monitor patient status using the Sensis monitoring system

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab
• BLS certification required

Compensation and Duration

This is a 91-day travel contract starting November 23, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,546.
