About this role
Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on a 5x8 schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours. Call coverage is required on weekends, typically one to two weekends per month plus 4–6 weekdays per month.
Role Responsibilities
- Support diagnostic and invasive procedures across multiple anatomies and pathologies in four interventional radiology suites
- Provide 1:1 patient care in a procedural setting, including scrub assistance, image recording, and operation of patient monitoring equipment such as oxygen, suction, and blood pressure monitors
- Operate special procedures imaging equipment to produce high-quality examinations while following radiation safety protocols
- Administer contrast materials and review medication reconciliation forms to identify potential contraindications prior to administration
- Observe and care for patients before, during, and after procedures using appropriate immobilization and patient transfer devices
- Float between assignments as required by the facility
- Work with Siemens equipment and EPIC Radiant EMR system
Patient Population
You will work with oncology, dialysis, neurology, and pulmonary embolism cases.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- ARRT (R) licensure required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Advanced registry (CI, VI, or RCIS) preferred
Facility Guidelines
Green surgical scrubs are provided daily and must remain on-site. Torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not permitted.
Compensation and Duration
Weekly pay is $3,153.60. Assignment begins October 5, 2026, and runs for 91 days.
