<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Medical Technologist - Medical Lab Tech</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• 13-week contract assignment<br>• Work in the Chemistry department of the medical laboratory<br>• Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluid specimens<br>• Utilize manual techniques and laboratory instruments and information systems<br>• May perform phlebotomy as needed<br>• Work under general supervision by laboratory technologist, leader and/or supervisor<br>• Follow defined protocols for all procedures<br>• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required<br>• National certification from ASCP or NCA required<br>• Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in similar role required<br>• Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment required (AU system experience preferred)<br>• Sunquest LIS experience and automation experience preferred<br>• Minimum six months experience in medical laboratory setting required<br>• Must demonstrate technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge for laboratory functions<br>• Strong communication skills required<br>• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major healthcare system operates multiple hospitals and medical facilities throughout southeastern Michigan, providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
